But for as long as she can remember, Haven has experienced visions of a past life as a girl named Constance, whose love for a boy called Ethan ended in fiery tragedy.

One day, the sight of notorious playboy Iain Morrow on television brings Haven to her knees. Haven flees to New York City to find Iain and there, she is swept up in an epic love affair that feels both deeply fated and terribly dangerous. Is Iain her beloved Ethan? Or is he her murderer from a past life? Haven asks the members of the powerful and mysterious Ouroboros Society to help her unlock the mysteries of reincarnation and discover the secrets hidden in her past lives, and loves, before all is lost and the cycle begins again. But what is the Ouroboros Society? And how can Haven know whom to trust?

My Thoughts: First of all, there will be no spoilers in this review. I realize I'm probably spoiling the books for you guys in my reviews, so I'm going to try not to anymore! Oh and I know this review is a bit late, but it took me awhile longer to finish this novel. Now onto the review :)

I did not enjoy this novel as much as I thought I would. Don't get me wrong! I'm sure a lot of people found it a fantastic read, but it just wasn't for me. First of all, I found Haven to be quite stupid. I'm sorry, but come on!! I'm just going to say this: She should have followed her heart. Her lack of trust in Lain was stupid... Even if I was in her situation, there were still solid facts that proved his innocence. Ugh. And Lain was a pretty typical character. He did lie to Haven to make her think otherwise BUT he what he did was to protect Haven. Oops... that's not really a spoiler right? I'm not giving too much away! Well anyways I actually liked Lain's character. But it wasn't the characters that made me dislike this novel.

Okay so I'm the type of girl who enjoys a happy ending and not a lot of drama. There was WAY too much drama in this novel. Too much going on, and I hated it. I hate how clueless the characters were, and I hate the fact that it wasn't completely a happy ending. I mean it was, but it wasn't. If you've read it then you might understand what I mean. Anyways, I almost couldn't finish the novel. It was starting to really piss me off. But there was one character that kept me going: Beau. Every scene that Beau was in, I couldn't help but laugh! He's hilarious :) I'm glad he came back into the novel towards the end! Otherwise I would not have been happy at all. But still! I wanted to go to sleep in a good mood dreaming of my own happy ending, but instead I couldn't sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about the stupid characters or the stupid drama. Like I said, I like perfect endings. I know, I'm a hopeless romantic =)

I finally finished the novel thinking it would at least have been a perfect ending, but no. Almost, but not quite. Here is what I rated the novel, oh and I changed the rating again :) Ha ha its easier this way:

2.5

Why?

It just wasn't for me

Too much going on

The .5 was because of Beau. I loved his character and it made me enjoy the book WAY more than I probably would have.

I would LOVE to hear what you guys thought of the novel :)

Thanks for stopping by!

-Liz
Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12596003079010824468noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4888389630129803234.post-54380231088741823262011-06-29T15:33:00.000-07:002011-06-30T19:19:29.053-07:00More contests!!At Tynga's Reviews you can win any book of your choice!! But when Bailey dies abruptly, Lennie is catapulted to center stage of her own life—and, despite her nonexistent history with boys, suddenly finds herself struggling to balance two. Toby was Bailey's boyfriend; his grief mirrors Lennie's own. Joe is the new boy in town, a transplant from Paris whose nearly magical grin is matched only by his musical talent. For Lennie, they're the sun and the moon; one boy takes her out of her sorrow, the other comforts her in it. But just like their celestial counterparts, they can't collide without the whole wide world exploding.

My Thoughts: This novel literally pissed me off. It also made me cry. And it made me laugh and wish I was in love. It was a very emotional novel, and as you can see, I got pretty emotional... but I'm not afraid to admit it!! Anyways, this review will have spoilers.

Lennie lost her sister. This is something that I hate thinking about because of my own sister. I don't know how I would handle it. But Lennie seems to be handling it with her sisters fiance. That's what pissed me off. Toby, its just, no. No. NO!! Gross. Not meant to be! Every time I read Toby's name I put the book down and yelled "GO AWAY". Seriously... He was ruining her life!!!!! And then Joe caught them -_- UGH. Now she has nobody. Obviously she was devastated. I really hated Toby... until later in the novel.

Joe. How can I describe Joe? PERFECT. It was too good to be true for Lennie because Joe was the guy every girl wanted and Lennie was the girl no guy noticed. Kind of sad but true. But he loves her and she loves him. The novel was so cute and romantic. I loved it. Later Toby and Lennie did stop making out and were more like a brother and a sister. They both knew they did it becaue of their sadness towards Bailey. It sounds weird but I started to like Toby because of there new friendship. No more kissing. Yeah :)

I loved the characters in this book, mostly Lennie. She wrote poems on random things such as a candy wrapper to the bathroom wall at the school, and left them at the most random places. Poems that showed her love for Bailey, and memories between them. I think thats the coolest thing ever... I'm debating on trying it myself. Plus Lennie was a mean clarinet player, one who will most likely get into Julliard. Honestly, this is an awesome book and I loved it. Its a must read!! Im not really telling you guys much, it probably doesnt sound all that good with my little details on stuff. But it is. So read it!

10

Why?

Because I freaking cried.

It was super cute and romantic

and I did I mention I freaking cried.

Thanks for reading my thoughts :)

-Liz
Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12596003079010824468noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4888389630129803234.post-5106734512342166632011-06-27T21:13:00.000-07:002011-06-29T11:45:18.636-07:00Contests :)The link below will direct you to a contest to win Minder + Adversary by Kate Kaynak!!

ChicaReader: http://chicareader.blogspot.com/2011/06/giveaway-minder-adversary-by-kate.html

And heres another link to win Forgotten by Cat Patrick

Tynga's Reviews: http://www.tyngasreviews.com/2011/06/giveaway-forgotten-by-cat-patrick.html

Also, here's a link to win the Hoodoo series!!

http://darkfaerietales.com/author-interview-giveaway-black-heart-loa-adrian-phoenix.html?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=author-interview-giveaway-black-heart-loa-adrian-phoenixLizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12596003079010824468noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4888389630129803234.post-3714933036120510442011-06-26T19:24:00.000-07:002011-06-26T19:32:19.169-07:00The Book Cellar CONTESTPlease click on the link below to enter to win:

Shut out by Kody Keplinger
Fateful by Claudia Gray
Shelter by Harlan Coben

http://www.thebookcellarx.com/2011/06/bea-giveaway-shut-out-fateful-and.htmlutm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheBookCellar+%28The+Book+Cellar%29

Thank you! :)Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12596003079010824468noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4888389630129803234.post-85645601228343197462011-06-26T16:11:00.000-07:002011-06-26T17:53:07.696-07:00Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

My Thoughts: I actually just finished reading Catching Fire last night. I should have finished it like 8 months ago when I got half way through it and stopped at the part when Gale told Katniss that he loved her. I am a Peeta and Katniss fan and I had to stop after that. Dont get me wrong, it was a great book but once I put it down I didn't pick it back up for a while. I forgot about it. I borrowed the book from a friend and when she kept asking for it back, I decided I should finish the novel. Once I picked it back up again, I couldn't put it back down.

Katniss is a fighter. She is not one to give up. All she wants to do is save everyone she loves, and that means to even sacrifice herself if it comes down to it. I admire her for all of that and more. She doesn't care how she looks, she only cares for one thing: family. Everyone she loves is considered familey. She won't go down without a fight, and even though she may not have realized it, but with her determination, she can go a long way. Katniss is an awesome character, and even though she may not think things through or makes the best choices, she's super smart and no matter what, she will always figure a way out.

In Catching Fire, Katniss is not just fighting for family anymore, but for freedom. The districts are starting to have an uprising, and Katniss is what gives them all hope that they can win against the capitol. Without her, there is no hope. It becomes so intense and dangerous that Katniss doesn't even know what she stands for until the end of the novel. Its safer if she's clueless. People team up with her in the games and it seems like she is having a much easier time then the first time she played. She notices as people are doing things for her and trying to keep her alive, which she doesn't understand until the end. At the end, Katniss is the symbol for freedom. She understands that thats the reason people want her alive. But what I didnt see coming: no more district twelve, Peeta is captured by the capitol. Not exactly what I wanted to end the novel with. At least I have easy access to the third novel.

I have read lots of reviews for the Hunger Games novels, and they all sound pretty much the same. Obviously, they are amazing. I agreed with most of them. The novel is addiciting, you can't get enough of it. Catching Fire is the first novel that I will be using my new rating system:

9

Why?

Because the characters are amazing

Made me think about family

Cliffhanger left me unhappy

Overall, Catching Fire in an amazing novel, and I do recommend it.

And by the way, Im back :)

Thank you!

-Liz Tapia
Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12596003079010824468noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4888389630129803234.post-22465305053083184172010-09-06T15:33:00.000-07:002010-09-06T16:36:12.746-07:00Ruined by Paula MorrisRebecca couldn't feel more out of place in New Orleans, where she comes to spend the year while her dad is traveling. She's staying in a creepy old house with her aunt. And at the snooty prep school, the filthy-rich girls treat Rebecca like she's invisible. Sweet, mysterious Lisette is eager to talk to Rebecca, and to show her the nooks and crannies of the city. There's just one catch: Lisette is a ghost. A ghost with a deep, dark secret, and a serious score to settle. As Rebecca learns more from her ghost friend -- and as she slowly learns to trust Anton Grey -- she also uncovers startling truths about her own history. Will Rebecca be able to right the wrongs of the past, or has everything been ruined beyond repair?

I won this book in a contest LAST summer, and it took me until yesterday to start reading it again. I actually did start reading it when it came in the mail, but by then school was starting and I was too busy to keep reading. I only read like 2 chapters last year so I didn't get hooked. It started out kind of slow, except for the prologue! It kept me thinking. Anyways, I was really bored at home and decided to finish it. I started reading it all over again. Now this is what I thought:

Rebecca is a really mature and smart girl. She's a person who doesn't care what other people think of her. She is very brave, and honest. She's not afraid to argue her point. I wish I could be more like her. Anton is very mysterious. He's secretive but trustworthy. He did everything to protect Rebecca. There wasn't really any romance but the mystery in the book made up for that. Rebecca comes into New Orleans a nobody. No one likes her but Anton. Rebecca's only friends are Anton and Lisette. Lisette is the beautiful ghost girl. She has a lot to say. But Lisette could only talk to certain people. And Rebecca is the only one who sticks around and talks back to Lisette. I did enjoy all the characters in this book. Lisette was my favorite. She was also mysterious but not secretive. She pretty much told Rebecca everything she wanted to know.

The book was very predictable. I knew who Rebecca and her family was. I knew the ending was not going to happen the way they planned and I knew who was going to die. But I really liked reading this book. There were some other things that happened that was not as predictable. And it didn't catch my attention right away but I did eventually get hooked. I loved the mystery on Lisette and Rebecca. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When Kat's sister is chosen by lottery, Kat steps up to go in her place.

My Thoughts: I didn't even know what this book was about until I read it. I was told that there were these so called "hunger games" that a group of kids HAD to play... and so I was not that interested. I've recently read lots of reviews of the novel, and people either really loved it, or really hated it. This is what I thought:

I ABSOLUTELY FREAKING LOVED IT!!!

Seriously! I didn't even read the back of the book for a description. Only because my best friend let me borrow it and I left the cover slip thingy at her house so I wouldn't "destroy" it. And it pretty much left me clueless. But I got hooked as SOON as I started. Literally! When Katniss was talking about the cat she hated and her little sister, Prim. It was funny :) I LOVED IT!!!

Alright, so when I realized what the Hunger Games actually were, I was disgusted. I can not believe they would do that! Especially for a 12 year old. Its not right for any kids at all. No matter what age they are. If you don't know what I'm talking about then READ THE BOOK because I really don't feel like typing it all out. Its a lot and I already know this review is going to be long. Plus you should read the book before you read this review because its mostly a bunch of spoilers. Just know that I would recommend this book to YOU!!

**SPOILER ALERT**

When I started reading about Katniss, I immediately knew I was going to like her. She was VERY smart and brave. The things she would do for her family was amazing. She risked herself putting food on the table. Katniss hunted for her family even though it was illegal. She is not suppose to enter the woods, but she did to keep her family alive. Her mother and sister would probably starve to death without Katniss. She has mastered the bow and arrow. Which I love about her. I like how she doesn't brag or over estimate herself during the hunger games.

But I HATE how she over thinks things. For example, when she just assumes Peeta is acting and pretends to be her friend and then in love with her. I know I wouldn't last like 5 minutes in the hunger games but I do know when a guy likes me. I knew he had a thing for her when she told the story about him giving her the bread. How he purposely burnt the bread so he could give it to her. And his mother hit him on the face with something for punishment. He got smacked by his own mom so Katniss could have some bread for her family. He gave Katniss hope for her and her family. How could he NOT love her??? Katniss is SO clueless up until the very end when PEETA is surprised she was faking it. Every kiss they shared, everything they said about each other during interviews and the hunger games, everything they did was real for Peeta. He meant everything he did. And Katniss just ASSUMED he was such a great liar and was in on it. I felt horrible for Peeta when I finished the book. I knew he meant everything he did even though it seemed like Katniss was right at first. But I knew it. From the moment I knew about the bread incident. I hate how Katniss couldn't figure it out. I hate how the romance was fake for her.

She did try though, when he told her the story about him first falling for her. I kind of hope that Katniss did know, somewhere deep down she knew that he was for real. But she didn't want to believe it! I know she had feelings for him. But she ignored them. Acted like it was nothing. Puh-leez!! I would have SO jumped on that :P

Peeta is amazing. I want him and Katniss together. I read a review and when they mention Peeta, they say he was perfect and didn't like him because of it! I don't think he was. He might have acted like it. But you know at the beginning of the book when his mother came to him and said "Maybe district 12 will finally have a winner" She didn't mean Peeta because she said "She's a trooper that one". How sad is that? He had no faith in himself either. I don't think he was all that perfect. He grew up in a bakery, and only being able to eat stale bread. Katniss also assumed he ate good bread all the time. Thought he lived good. But I don't think anyone really lived good unless they won the games. And was stinking rich!

I LOVE his love for Katniss. Does that make any sense? Everything he did for her. Everything he would have done for her. He almost got himself killed for Katniss. He would have died if she hadn't found him. He was for real!! Didn't fake anything. He really loves her.

Now onto my next favorite character. Rue. Little innocent Rue. I loved how adventurous she was. She was smart, and she knew her way around. I thought jumping from tree to tree was a pretty good skill to have for the games. Rue knew what berries to eat and other very useful things. I was very happy when Katniss wanted to team up with her. They made a pretty good team. I knew that Rue was going to die eventually but I was hoping she wouldn't. But she did. It was really sad. She was killed by a spear. Someone threw it right into her stomach. Katniss got there too late but she killed Rue's killer immediately. And when Rue asked Katniss to sing for her, I started to tear up. I liked that Katniss covered her in flowers. At least Rue didn't have to die alone. She had someone there who cared about her.

**SPOILER OVER**

This book was AWESOME! I loved almost everything about it! the way it was told and especially the characters! Zoe didn't do anything stupid, except party. But I could understand why she did it. I never been in a the same situation as her. But I get it.
Zoe went to party's to drink and get some action from guys. She didn't care who it was, just as long as he was HOT. But after meeting Matthias, she comes to realize she doesn't need to do that stuff. She wanted to get away from her family. Anyways, I love the way Zoe thinks :) Not about the drinking or guys! Well maybe the guys... but I meant her personality. She has a good heart. And she will do anything for her family. No matter how annoyed she gets.
Now on to Matthias. Oh boy, let me tell you about Matthias. In my head, he is absolutely GORGEOUS! And I LOVE his name. Matthias. I could say it all day long. I kind of wish for my own Matthias. Well throughout the book, it seemed like he felt nothing for Zoe. I mean you could tell he really cared for her but it seemed more like a brother. SPOILER. Well he did protect her, and cared for her but he just didn't show her is true feelings. Which REALLY annoyed me. Nothing good happened between them till the end :( But I still love this book. Even if it took till the last two pages for them to get together. But it was really sad how it had to happen. SPOILER.
Alright, I think I would DIE of embarrassment if I ever fell in love with a guy who could READ MY MIND! I know what I would be thinking... and he would NOT need to know that! I seriously felt the embarrassment Zoe had when she thought things of him, and he was right next to her! I would freak. Which is pretty much what she did. I also felt horrible for her at the end before she went to the party. I probably would have done the same thing.
I cannot wait to read the next one!
I'm rating this book a...

4.5

Why?

Because I loved how protected Zoe was of her family, especially her sister.

It was Romantic, and that is ALWAYS a plus for me :)

I knew how Zoe felt (When she got embarrassed)

I just hated how long it took for the REALLY good stuff to happen
Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12596003079010824468noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4888389630129803234.post-89243063990064712072010-08-24T14:23:00.000-07:002010-08-24T15:12:54.583-07:00Low Red Moon by Ivy Devlin The only thing Avery Hood can remember about the night her parents died is that she saw silver—deadly silver, moving inhumanly fast. As much as she wants to remember who killed them, she can't, and there's nothing left to do but try to piece her life back together. Then Avery meets the new boy in school—Ben, mysterious and beautiful, with whom she feels a connection like nothing she's ever experienced. When Ben reveals he's a werewolf, Avery still trusts him—at first. Then she sees that sometimes his eyes flash inhuman silver. And she learns that she's not the only one who can't remember the night her parents died.

My Thoughts: I honestly really liked this book. I mean it wasn't the best or anything but I did finish it without stopping. I loved the plot, it was different than what you would most likely expect. Avery is not your typical high school girl. All her life she has been home schooled by what seems to be the best parents ever! Her parents let her go to a public high school, which makes Avery stoked until she realizes it was not what she expected. Then one night Avery is found sitting next to both her parents, while they lay dead. She doesn't remember a thing. She just remember seeing the police carry her parents away. That's when she realizes they are dead. It was fun reading this book. It really felt like I was there. The author did a great job with details. Everything Avery felt was described perfectly. I knew exactly what she meant. Then comes Ben. When they both see each other for the first time, its like love at first sight. But Avery doesn't know what she feels. She can't really described it. When she thinks of him, she doesn't think he's hot or sexy. Those are not the right words. She describes him as beautiful. And I kind of felt like I was reading Twilight again. Just for a moment! When she sees him, she thinks that HE thinks she's a freak. Just like everyone else in school. But throughout the book, they get close. Ben is mysterious and little freaked out himself. He doesn't remember the night Avery's parents died, but he knows he was far away from the house. He is very trustworthy. In this book, werewolves can make a human do whatever they want them to by the sound of their voice. Ben told Avery to go home in the beginning of the novel, but she refused. That surprised Ben. I love how she told him he wasn't the boss of her, and she could do what she wanted. I wish I could actually see the shocked expression on Ben's face. Little wonder, since life’s been pretty rough so far. Her father left, her stepfather just died, and her mother’s pretty much checked out. Now Zara’s living with her grandmother in sleepy, cold Maine so that she stays “safe.” Zara doesn’t think she’s in danger; she thinks her mother can’t deal.
Wrong. Turns out that guy she sees everywhere, the one leaving trails of gold glitter, isn’t a figment of her imagination. He’s a pixie—and not the cute, lovable kind with wings. He’s the kind who has dreadful, uncontrollable needs. And he’s trailing Zara.

With suspense, romance, and paranormal themes, this exciting breakout novel has readers rapidly turning the pages.

My best friend Jenna let me borrow this book and to be honest, at first I was kind of ify about it. You see, Jenna has this HUGE set of books in her bookcases (Yes, she has THREE bookcases) with LOTS of amazing books to choose from. She handed me this book and I didn't think it compared to all the others. I wanted to read something amazing, a book I would stay up all night reading. I didn't even know what the book was about and still didn't really want to read BUT Jenna let me take it home and I read it.

Well boy was I WRONG! I cannot believe I almost passed this book up!! Im SO glad Jenna gave me this one to read. And I did stay up all night till it was finished :) You see? She IS my best friend for a reason :D Lol just kidding Jenna!! But seriously, she ALWAYS picks the right books for me. She knows how much I love paranormal romances :D

I love Zara's character. She kind of reminded me of ME. Zara is a runner and by the looks of it, a pretty darn good one. I don't like to brag or anything but I'm a pretty good runner too :D LOL well I also love to run on my own in the neighborhood just like Zara. And the way Zara thinks throughout the book is what I would have thought and done. I wouldn't have been scared to be sweaty next to a cute guy and try to outrun him!! plus she's stubborn, which I am very much so. But I'm not as sarcastic as her and I would probably be too shy to say some of the things she said. But when it comes to sports with guys, I'm never shy :P

I also absolutley LOVE Nick!! This book made me love Werewolves even MORE!! In my imagination he is HOT. I love the way he is super protected over Zara. How he thinks he can accomplish things on his own when he obviously needs helped. If anything goes wrong, he trys so hard to make things right again. I know this might sound odd, but I love how he gets mad so easily and jealous even when he's hurt, he still manages to get mad at Zara for doing something that could put her in danger. I guess I think its cute lol. And just when I thought he couldn't get even more perfect, I learn he NEVER had a girlfriend before! Therefore, He has NEVER kissed a girl! Can you believe that? Zara is so FREAKING LUCKY!

And then there is Devyn and Issie. Two people obviously ment for each other!! I think Devyn is SO sweet to Issie. He is always making her laugh. She seems so happy when she is with him.

I cannot wait to read the next book! Capitivate.
So I'm gonna rate this book a...

5.0

Why?

Because there was a HOT Werewolf :)

Romance is always a plus in my book

And I didn't stop reading it until it was finished

Carrie Jones did a very awesome job in her style of writing

I also LOVE the cover

I LOVED IT!!

I hope you guys decide to check the book out and tell me what YOU though :)

Oh, and I forgot to mention one more thing

THANK YOU JENNA!!!
Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12596003079010824468noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4888389630129803234.post-3186607190197383062010-08-16T20:02:00.001-07:002010-08-16T21:28:05.437-07:00Giveaway Link: Dante's Journey AND Minder T-ShirtI found ANOTHER awesome giveaway over at "Alexis Books and Such..."

http://alexia561.blogspot.com/2010/08/giveaway-dantes-journey-by-jc-marino.html

And if you want to win an AWESOME Minder T-Shirt, Click on the Link!!
http://yabookqueen.blogspot.com/2010/08/giveaway-guest-post-kate-kaynak.html

Please check it out :PLizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12596003079010824468noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4888389630129803234.post-17107729816502869222010-08-16T19:27:00.000-07:002010-08-16T19:30:12.252-07:00Giveaway Link: Paramormalcy Pre-OrderHey Guys :)
Theres this AMAZING contest happening over at Book Obsession and you should check it out!
http://booksobsession.blogspot.com/2010/07/paranormal-pre-order-contest.html

SO many books to choose from including Paranormalcy, The Replacments, The Clockwork Angel and MORE!!

CHECK IT OUT ;)Lizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12596003079010824468noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4888389630129803234.post-61468943727703759252010-08-09T18:30:00.000-07:002010-08-09T18:40:06.886-07:00GIVEAWAY!!!Well I've only had ONE entry for my contest. I absolutely loved this book!! I first read Perfect Chemistry in the beginning of the year and LOVED it, once I heard the Author made another book, I bought it. I love how the story keeps going from one brother to another. Hopefully she makes another book!! This time with Luis Feuntes... lol anyways Carlos ain't as tough as he wants people to believe. He doesn't want to disappoint his mom. And Kiara was always the shy girl, and she wanted to be known as the girl who wasn't afraid to stand up for herself. She doesn't want to leave high school being the girl who stutters. I loved how Carlos never made Kiara tell him why she stutters, he might of asked her about it but only to avoid something else he had on his mind *cough* *cough*. She actually never told him but he knew that she stuttered when she got nervous and that happened quite a lot around him. Carlos and Kiara were total opposites but so were Alex and Brittany. When I first saw the cover of the book, I wondered why it was two people leaning out of their car kissing but you'll understand once you read it because I realize now its the PERFECT cover :) Plus that part in the book is my FAVORITE part!! Throughout the book Carlos is a jerk for many reasons, and he wanted to make Kiara hate him so she wouldn't love him. I personally think this book is SO romantic, I cant wait to read more of Simone Elkeles novels. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loved Perfect Chemistry and if you haven't read Perfect Chemistry...
